South Indian Kadak — Method
Simmer leaf in water first, add 150ml full-fat milk, simmer again. Strain firmly. Sweeten with jaggery. Thick, dark, strong — the classic canteen cup.

Excellent everyday tea, packaging could improve
The tea itself is genuinely excellent — bright, fresh, strong enough for milk chai but complex enough to drink plain. I knocked one star because the pouch seal on my last order wasn't as tight as the first. Reached out via WhatsApp and got a response within an hour, which is impressive.

I live in Ooty and have been watching Forest Brews for years — everyone here knows the estate. The fact that they're now selling direct is good for them and for buyers who were getting inferior tea from middlemen. The 500g pack is well-priced for what you get.
